School of Nursing , was established in 1991 and started working by accepting students in Bachelor of Nursing and Associate degree in Midwifery. After the division of Khorasan province and establishment of North Khorasan School of Medical Sciences, School of Nursing, Midwifery and health was founded and accepted students in nursing, midwifery, family health and disease control. After the promotion and expansion of North Khorasan School of Medical Sciences to North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, the school, was divided into two schools; School of Nursing and Midwifery and School of Health. Bachelor of Sciences in Anesthesiology and Surgical Technology were then added to the fields of study of the school.

The new building of the school was inaugurated in 2011 by the Minister of Health and Medical Education. The new building includes a laboratory, library, clinical skills lab, educational facilities, auditorium and conference hall, mosque, IT resources and a self-service restaurant.

At the time being, the school has 122 nursing, 78 midwifery, 102 anesthesiology, 114 surgical technology, 22 medical emergencies students (totally 467 students which 154 of them are men and 313 are women) and 34 academic members (from which 19 are women and 13 are men).

Moreover, M.Sc. in Gerontological Nursing was established in 2014 by accepting 5 students. Now nearly 30 students are studying in this field at the School of Nursing .
