Imaging Unit

This unit is equipped with digital system. The images are copied on CD or Laser Imager by post processing software, and then they are printed on the single side films with high quality. Also, this section is equipped with PACS (Picture Archiving & Communication System). This system which archives the pictures digitally and transfers them through RIS plays an undeniable role in immediate diagnosis and consequently taking remedial procedures.

The diagnostic services offered by this section are as follow:
Digestive System Radiographies:
-Barium Swallow
-U.G.I
-Barium Enema (Single & Double Contrast)
-T.Tube Cholangiography

Urinary System Radiographies:
-IVP
-Retrograde Pyelography
-Retrograde Cystography
-Invasive services including cerebral angiography, angiography of the upper and lower extremities, stenting, and emboloisation

Sonography
The diagnostic services offered in this unit are as follows:
*All general sonographies
*All Color Doppler sonographies including:
- Doppler sonography of carotid and vertebral vessels in order to diagnose plaque and stenosis
- Doppler sonography of renal vessels in order to diagnose stenosis of the renal vessels, as well as renal thrombosis
- Doppler sonography of peripheral arteries and veins in order to diagnose stenosis, aneurysm, arteriovenous fistula, and DVT
- Doppler sonography of liver in order to diagnose hypertension port, vessel and tumor damages
- Fetus Doppler sonography in order to diagnose IUGR and anomalies
- Tumors Doppler sonography in order to diagnose vascularity
- Penis Doppler sonography by papaverin injection
- Sonography guided biopsy
Fluoroscopy
It is an imaging method in which the X-rays are continually emitted and captured on a screen, producing a real-time, dynamic image. During a fluoroscopy procedure, an X-ray beam is passed through the body and the received signals are then observed and recorded by the closed circuit television system. This kind of imaging method is useful once it is necessary to evaluate some movements such as displacement of contrast in gastrointestinal tract after swallowing it. In this method, visible fluorescent glass plates are used instead of film in order to make the image visible while radiation.
CT-Scan
The two advanced Spiral CT-scan Sets, Multi Slides 4 and 64 Models; have converted this center into one of the most advanced medical centers all over the country.
These sets enjoy high power tubes, and high speed multi detector gantries. The applied equipment increases the resolution of the set. Also, the spiral technology applied in these sets, covers an extensive area for scanning, and minimizes the amount of missed data during scanning.
Receiving 64 slides per case along with advanced software for data processing and reviving the scans, analyzing all body organs on 2D and 3D slides, registering ECG during scanning and also 4D, are some of the facilities of these sets. Furthermore, high speed of the system has facilitated the feasibility of carrying out CT-angiography for analyzing peripheral and cardiac vessels. In comparison with angiography this technique has been widely considered due to its non-invasive specifications and limited side effects.
Some other diagnostic services offered by this unit are as follows:
-General scans of the organs
- Evaluation of the pulmonary vessels in terms of pulmonary embolism
- Evaluation of the renal arteries in terms of stenosis and blood flow
- Evaluation of the aorta and other great vessels aneurysms
- Evaluation of the aorta dissection and their main branches
- Evaluation of the arteriovenous malformation of the cerebral vessels
- Evaluation of the atherosclerosis
- Evaluation of the venous thrombosis
- Evaluation of the aneurysm, stenosis and obstruction
- Evaluation of the stent wideness
- Evaluation of the fistula (Intra Myocardial Bridge)
- Evaluation of the ischemia, necrosis and false aneurysm
- Evaluation of the morphology of the left ventricular wall
