PCNL is done under general anesthesia. It is a minimally invasive procedure to remove stones from kidney by a small puncture wound (1 cm and sometimes up to 2 cm) through the flank skin. A camera is entered into the kidney through the incision and the stone will be broken into small sizes. The small pieces of stone will be suctioned and removed.
